OOTD: Fringe & Floral

As you may be able to see in the first picture, I spent a portion of my day outside of the suburbs yesterday! I actually went to my first Nordstrom BP Fashion Board meeting which was fun and I'm looking forward to the next one in September. At the meeting yesterday we got to meet the department managers of the Nordstrom's juniors sections around Washington and just got to know the people in our store group a little better (mine is the downtown Seattle one). We also learned that for this years project we are going to design a store/boutique and may even be able to influence some aspects of future Nordstrom's departments.

Now, for the actual "outfit of the day" I decided to wear something summery because it is getting to the end of vacation and I want to embrace the ability to wear shorts! So for my look I paired my leather accented denim shorts with a crocheted fringe shirt and my floral kimono. For the accessories I had my new Steve Madden cutout boots (so in love!) and a burgundy lip. Shockingly I also did not wear my hair in it's usual topknot and instead opted to give it some curls for some casual hippy/surfer girl'ness. All in all I think I looked put together but not stuffy, not to mention I was happy I did not wear a high waisted skirt because most everyone at the meeting was wearing one!
