Teenage Wasteland

There are those moments where you simply feel content and don't have your thoughts secretly hammering away at you in the back of your mind. Driving yesterday through the sunny early afternoon streets of California was one of those. I sat in the back of my friends Jeep while we played Chance the Rapper and sang along un-fraid of judgment to the likes of Cocoa Butter Kisses. The happy go lucky feel of the day continued later as Bianca and I met up with some of our other friends to adventure in Melrose.

A little bit of flannel as an homage to the grunge boys (and girls) of the hometown

Life is too short to be sassy all the time, smiling is quite alright too.
Shake it like a Polaroid picture.
Marching to the flea market.

As someone who plasters pictures and photos on her bedroom wall (including a banner that states "Good Vibes") I love bright and unexpected art. Just like music, art is very personal and makes the everyday seem just a little more exciting.

But in addition to admiring the graffiti in the area we also headed to the Flea Market located at Fairfax High School. Since it was my first time attending the market I didn't know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised by both the size and quality of the weekly event. Although there is a 3 dollar entree fee I do think it was worth it considering how many vendors there were. I was drooling over all the amazing vintage fur coats and found a really cool two piece hoodie and shorts ensemble to bring home which I will definitely be wearing to school this week. Overall a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon (albeit I was a little bit zoned out due to going to sleep at 6AM).
Well dressed couples make me happy.

My one true love....
Seattle girls.

While at the market I also came across some very cool brands that I might just be featuring or talking to in the future so be on the lookout for those, and check my TOOVIA page to see if I post anything else about the occasion at some point!
